Make that Oct 26 1834 !
The 2 magazines reported it in 1835 - that confused me.
If you search for "charles stewart cochrane" at http://newspapers.bl.uk/ , there it is in the Hampshire Telegraph and Sussex Chronicle of December 8, 1834 . If you play around withe the search you can find similar entries in other newspapers. I don't have a subscriptiion , so I can't give you the full text.
