I have an ancestor called James MacGregor born 1801 in Comrie to a James MacGregor also known as (Drummond) and Mary MacGregor. on the birth entry is it written as Jas. which was short for James. James was the youngest child. They lived in Garrichrew, where the eldest child Christian was born in 1789. My ancestor Duncan born 1793 the second born lived for a long time in The Ross, Comrie
do you know James parents names? As I'm sure you know many MacGregors around this area used the alias Drummond.
