\:D/ Carol, I'm so happy. I didn't know Massachusetts has such extensive city directories. It was fun looking at them (William married & moved to Methuen by the way) but my real find was 2 great-aunts from the Ross side of my family in Springfield - in 1916 it said "Mrs Agnes May rem Scotland" & indeed I found her d.c. Also followed her sister who just disappears, presumably dying, between 1916 & 1917 but I also found her daughter's death mentioned in 1936 so I'm one very happy bunny.

Going to be away from the computer (short stay in hospital) for a few days but I shall enjoy looking at the Crawfords while I recover!

Hi Muriel,

Hope all goes well with your hospital stay!

I always forget about the directories for some reason. I guess I haven't had much luck with them when looking for my own family. Marilyn morning probably knows more about searching for records in Massachusetts, but she may still be digging out after the last snow storm or getting ready for the next one!

Good hunting,

Carol :D
