You can view all the records which are available on Ancestry, including the army records they hold. You can see what records Ancestry have by looking at the website from home; you can then make a list of what it is you want to look up when at the library which will help you stay focussed and not waste time on your visit.does the ancestory let you access all reords including amry records in the mithcll library
You need to use a PC to look up the Poor relief index, then you need to fill in a form to order up the original poor relief application - these are bound in books. Library use is free.do you go on computers to look things up or is it books to you pay to get in
Once you have ordered up the original record, it may take 15 minutes for the staff to retrieve the item you have ordered from the store.i read on the website it takes 10-15 mintues to get recordswhat does this mean.
Best wishes

You cannot print a copy of the poor relief applicaiton as it not something you view on screen - it is bound in a book. If you want a copy of an application, you need to fill in a form to ask for a photocopy to be made. Can't remember the cost as it is a while since I was at the Mitchell, but I think it is a couple of pounds - about £3 maybe.thank you for the information but i have printed all of the records i have so would i not beable to print a copy of the poor releif copy if i find one and does it cost if you want a copy
If you do not want to pay for a copy of anything you find there, you would need to take a pencil (no pens allowed in the search room) and notebook with you and write down the details of what you are viewing.
Obviously, if you are viewing anything on Ancestry at the library, then you can print documents you find online. No idea what the cost to print is, but I should imagine somewhere in the region of 20p-50p per page.
Best wishes
