Okay, I'll get in the black books of your teachers for leading you astray, but I see on SP that she was born in Carluke in 1861, not Hamilton as is given in the 1871 census. Also, she is 9 years old in that census, not 1- 5… where did you get that age?

All of which means she was probably the 19 year old Margaret Devine, born Carluke, who was a servant in the household of William Cumingham (should that be Cunningham?) in Wiston and Roberton, Lanarkshire in 1881.

yeah that sounds like her then and yeah it is probably cunningham and i think i might of mixed her up with her sister hahaha and thank you for getting her it probs saved me alot of time but sadly gave me more study time hahaha well thats me finished with the devines now and i can now study for the next 3 weeks for my 5 exams off to study french i go lol
