Unfortunatley like you I have hit a brick wall with Annie lang and the only information I have
about her birth place came from the 1871 census which states birth place Newyork and the 1891 census which states birth place, New york sheldon. I have marriage information for both her marriages to Alexander Weir and George Bathgate and her death.

Isabella Dunlop Weir parents are William Weir and Helen Scott.

This is the information on Helen Weirs(nee Scot) father.....

Walter Scott b 1828c Jedburgh, married Jessie Jack 31/12/1859 at Jedburgh, he died 10/10/1895 at the Royal Infirmary Glasgow.

Death cert states that he had fractured ribs and pelvis femur block, there is an rce with death cert that states the death was suicide, that he jumped from a window when of unsound mind, at 60 Couper st

I found a news paper report of the inccident in the Scotsman news paper.

Friday 11 October 1895, page four.
Suicide in Glasgow

An Iron moulder named Walter Scott aged 59yrs residing in Cornet Drive Stevenston Ayrshire commited suicide yesterday in Glasgow by throwing himself from a window four story's high at 60 Cooper St , the house of his son- in-law.
He abstained frightful injuries and died at the Royal Infirmary Glasgow during the afternoon.
