After a wee bit of playing hangman I found the death of a Chrisinta Mackenzie/Macrae of about the right age in 1879 at Inverness. Looks like it's been mis indexed.

I searched for Christ* - just needed to leave out the t, (would think after 12 years of this I would get it ) - I did try the mc/mac options as I learned that the hard way. Did you find a death for Farquhar?

Hope it all helps Gail - not so much on the Mackenzie line, might try looking for some siblings although there are going to be many Mackenzie/Mckenzie.

I've passed the indexing error on to SP - it was clear on the certificate, so has probably been a typo during indexing. I would expect that it will be corrected right away in the SP Centre and NRH, but it takes a lot longer to filter through to the SP website.
