Hi,
Wow, thank you so much for finding the births Andrew, your a star.
I had come across them but didn't think they were the right one's and ran out of credits
so couldn't look at them to confirm they were the right children.
And thanks to Carol & Annette too for your help with finding info on the family too,
it's much appreciated.
Kind regards,
Daryl

Re: Owen Ryan & Mary McFarlane - Cant Find Children's Births
Hi,
I thought I'd update you all on what I've found.
Once I had looked at Catherine Ryan's birth cert, it had Owen & Mary's marriage details which stated it took place on
13th Feb 1858 in Old Monklands, Coatbridge so I found it under (wait for it) John Wrenn
so it looks like they didn't marry
in Ireland after all.
Needless to say I have looked for both sets of parents on Ancestry, familysearch, Roots Ireland etc. without any luck
and also the births of John/Owen & Mary too but again haven't found anything.
Thanks again to Andrew, Carol and Annette for your help it's much appreciated.

HI Daryl,
It looks like Owen (in its many spelling variants) is associated with John / Ian / Iain.
See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eoin
All the best,
