Thanks Wilma!!
I wonder what this place was?? I cannot find any record of the place searching the internet and since I now live overseas getting to the local library to look things up is not easy. Could the road where Haughead Cottages are marked be the location where Lorne Street is today?
Do you think there will be local history buffs who would know what this place was, should I post a fresh entry?
Thanks alot for your help.
After looking at Catherine's marriage certificate I checked which Chapel was around in the 19th century and called. I couldn't get an answer at St.Anthony's Chapel so I called St.Constantine's and spoke to the parish priest, he said that there should be records of all births/baptisms taking place at the chapel during this time. Finger's crossed that Catherine was also baptized in the same church as she got married in! This lead will need to wait until the next time I'm back over to Scotland as it will need chased up in person.

I live only 5 minutes away from St. Anthony's and strangely enough noticed the date built was 1863 so I don't think Catherine would have been baptised there.
I don't know much about Catholic Churches but what about St. Saviour's?
I haven't found out when it was built but I do know it served the east part of Govan.

Oh well, I really thought I had a concrete lead for the Frood's with St.Constantine's church. I will try to find out when St Saviours was built and also Our Lady & St Margaret's and whether their records still exist.
Thanks
