Since you're a Stewart here's what I dug up while trying to sort out Brook's info.

James Stewart married Janet Kelly in 1894. His parents were Colin and Helen Hotchkeys (Hotchkiss).

Here's the family in 1881:

Dwelling: Muiryhall St 18 Coopertive Bldg
Census Place: Old Monkland, Lanark, Scotland

James STEWART 8 M Coatbridge, Lanark, Scotland
Rel: Son

Thomas W. STEWART 2 M Coatbridge, Lanark, Scotland
Rel: Son

Colin and Helen married in 1852.

Helen's parents were James Hotchkis and Janet Jenkin who married in Larbet in 1828.

Three extracted baptisms are recorded for children of this couple:

1. JOHNE HOTCHKIS - International Genealogical Index
Gender: Male Christening: 17 JAN 1830 Bothkennar, Stirling, Scotland

2. MICHAEL HOTCHKIS - International Genealogical Index
Gender: Male Christening: 28 FEB 1844 Bothkennar, Stirling, Scotland

3. HELEN HOTCHKIS - International Genealogical Index
Gender: Female Christening: 16 MAR 1834 Old Monkland, Lanark, Scotland

Janet (Jenkins) Hotchkiss died in 1883, she was born about 1807, so her death cert will name the parents and break the 1800 barrier

If you look in the Larbet area under Junkin there are extracted records for Janet and a good few siblings.

Colin Stewart died in 1905, he was born in 1825. His parents were Duncan Stewart and Sarah McIntyre. There are a good few children recorded for this couple.

Sarah (McIntyre) Stewart died a widow in 1870, her husband, Duncan, had died in 1865 aged 75 (so you've broken the 1800 barrier on another side).

I have my doubts about the accuracy of Duncan and Sarah's parents but all the rest seem to be fine.
Searching for Keogh, Kelly, Fitzgerald, Riddell, Stewart, Wilson, McQuilkin, Lynch, Boyle, Cairney, Ross, King, McIlravey, McCurdy, Drennan and Woods (to name but a few).

Also looking for any information on Rathlin Island, County Antrim, Ireland.

Colina Bells mother was Mary McKechan/McKichen/McKichain she married John Bell in 1849.

They had a few (at least Six) children ONE in 1855, Catherine.

Colina (regardless of what she says on the censuses) was born in 1857 in Kilmore And Kilbride, Argyll.

The family had moved to Glasgow by 1861 where the last two children were born. John Bell died sometime between 1866 and 1871, probably in either Springburn or Cadder.

Given his age in 1861 (born about 1816) and the fact that Bell isn't a very common name in Argyll it would be EXTREMELY likely that the parents were John Bell and Catherine Morrison. The death cert should have these details.

Here's the family in 1881:

Dwelling: Auchenairn Road
Census Place: Cadder, Lanark, Scotland
Source: FHL Film 0203618 GRO Ref Volume 626-A1 EnumDist 6 Page 18
Marr Age Sex Birthplace
John (Mrs) BELL W 58 F Kilninvar, Argyll, Scotland
Rel: Head
Occ: Publican
Annie BELL U 28 F Oban, Argyll, Scotland
Rel: Daughter
Occ: Tailoress
Catherine BELL U 25 F Oban, Argyll, Scotland
Rel: Daughter
Colina BELL U 23 F Springburn, Lanark, Scotland
Rel: Daughter
Occ: Drawing Tracer
Donald BELL U 14 M Springburn, Lanark, Scotland
Rel: Son
Occ: Pattern Maker (Apprentice)
Malcolm B. EWING 2 M
Rel: Nephew

The mother, Mary McKichan, died in 1883 in Cadder she is indexed as 47, the entry reads 57 but she should have been 58-ish.

I'm very sure this is Mary in 1841:

Piece: SCT1841/524 Place: Kilninver,Kilmelford-Argyllshire Enumeration District: 1
Civil Parish: Kilninver,Kilmelford Ecclesiastical Parish, Village or Island:
Folio: 1 Page: 2
Address: -

Surname First name(s) Sex Age Occupation Where Born Remarks
MCKICHAN John M 70 Lintdresser Argyllshire
MCKICHAN Mary F 15 Argyllshire

Unfortunately the Mother, Ann Stewart, seems to have died by then. And I can't see Mary's older brother, Alexander, either.
