yes he probably came back to marry his sweetheart - wonder if he knew she'd had a son just the year before with another sweetheart also called Alexander?!

Sorry Folks,

I had to leave mid conversation yesterday - me rashers were cooked - that's bacon to you! This is all great information - thanks to you all. I know about Jarrow - just didn't realise it was the same place. I think I was still in Scottish mode yesterday and thought it might be an area in Glasgow or something like that. Else I was just hungry and I'm okay now I've had the rashers!
