Hi Lesley
Just got a reply about 15 mins ago.........at least they are going to sort it!
Thank you for your e-mail and many apologies for this index error. I
will inform the relevant people and hopefully they will be able to
rectify the entry on-line in due course (although it might take some
time to be reflected on the web site). I hope this is of some help, and
again many thanks for informing us of this error in our database.
Hopefully now someone else will not have the same problem.

Hi Lainey
Well done.
Good to hear it is going to be fixed..but I'd have to say I am a little disappointed that there was no mention of a refund of a few credits, if you have indeed already spent many credits looking at pages of search records (and I guess a few images?) in vain....
Best wishes

Hi lesley
I thought so too but on the other hand I am just really pleased to be able to progress with the tree! I am not particularly good at complaining, but if I ever come across another similar problem, I will really go nuts with them. I dont know why, but the whole Kay family has been a nightmare! I've managed to get Richards family right back now with regard to the main line, but the siblings are proving just as impossible as Richard. I've noticed quite a few messages recently with Kay problems..........what is it with this name! Think I will just have to wait til I get back to reg house.........hopefully next month, work permitting! Thanks again for all your help.

RICHARD SNEDDON KAY
Hi Thrall
I know what you mean. I am delighted at finally getting richards death, he was my gr grandad so a realitvely close relation. As for Kays, they do seem very elusive, you would think its actually a nice easy name.
Now that I have Richards death, I am still looking for any info on who his siblings married etc! I have no information on a single one of them after the 1901 census's and so dont yet have their marriages.
Where were your Kays from?
Richards father was a David Kay (canal boatman) born 1849 easterhouse, bailliestone, married Margaret Sneddon in 1880.
Davids father, was also David born 1801 in Old Monkland and died 1882.
This davids father was yes you guessed it! David. I dont know where he was born but he married a lady called Marion Dick. Strangely, David is never a name that I am aware of being in my family other than these - so much for Scottish naming patterns!
Anyway, if you ever come across these names!!
