Hi there, I'm having a bit of trouble trying to decipher her mother's maiden name.

Her father was James Bonnar, mother Rose Anne Bonnar MS Colqu????

Sarah Jane died 15th May 1913 - 27 aged 44 of Summerfield Street, Glasgow.

Could it be Colquhoun?

There are 4 children listed for James Bonnar and Rose Ann Colquhoun in the on-line IGI (beware a couple are submitted but you should easily be able to check them)

MARGARET BONAR - 30 DEC 1864 0429, Raphoe, Donegal, Ireland

SARAH JANE BONAR - 03 SEP 1867 Hamilton, Lanark, Scotland

ROSE ANN BONAR - 18 FEB 1870 Hamilton, Lanark, Scotland

MARY BONNAR - 28 MAR 1872 Hamilton, Lanark, Scotland

The birth of Margaret is a bit of a bonus - it says it is an extracted entry from Irish civil registration records so is this where the family is originally from?

After closer inspection I think that's exactly what it it Colquhoun.

You people are just wonderful - I've said it before but you really are - where can I get to check the on line IGI?
