What about your Veitches? Any from Crawfordmuir/Crawfordjohn Lanark or Eddlestone in Peebles or even Penicuik?
I don't think my GGGreatGrandfather had any sons to carry on the name but his parents John Veitch & Betsy Tait had at least three sons so there must be Veitches out there somewhere-well I found two branches in Australia but again they were descendants of his sisters & I would love to find some with Veitch name.

Hi Margaret
I dont have a heck of alot on this side......they are not related to me. George and Agnes's son William married Elizabeth Gardiner 11/11/1868 in lochside, slamanan. They went onto have 10 children that I know of. Elizabeth was my husbands gr gr auntie, making William an uncle.
I will send you a PM and you can email me direct, then I will happily send you the wee bit of info that I have!

Hi Margaret
Sorry that I missed your answering post.
My McNabs were from Stirlingshire in the 18th century. It is very difficult tracing anyone back that far.
I have an ancestor called Margaret McNab, who married William Dun in Fintry, Stirlingshire in 1763. I have not found out when they died.
Good luck with your searches.
Sheila
