Hi Fiona, I also have bains and mansons in my tree and know how frustrating :? it can be researching them as there is so many of them in that area.

I have a donald bain married to a helen manson in 1808 in canisbay,
robert bain married to ann cook, dont know when though,
donald bain married to a christina sinclair in 1755 in canisbay.

wouldnt it be great if we could find a connection somewhere :!:

Do you know where your Cooks originated from? I have Cooks in my tree,originally from Fife but settled in Wick.

I dont know where my cooks came from yet, i haven't really done any work on them as yet :!:

If i find anything that looks promising i will let you know.
