Hi Perisama

I have been watching this thread because I live 3 miles along the road from Comrie where there are 17 McLaren gravestones. So, not near your Penynghame one but wondered if you would be interested in info on the Comrie McLarens? No McLaurins I'm afraid and no Ludovic but there is a Daniel and a couple of Peters.

I have a copy of the Mitchell inventory of Comrie surveyed in 1872 and would be happy to copy it and send it to you if you want to send me a PM with necessary info. The stones give details of who female McLarens married and also place names both here and abroad. Happy to photograph any that particularly interest you or any of the places where they lived as they are mostly still around - though doubtless hardly in the same state as they were in early 1800s!

Just thinking, maybe the Mitchell inventory (this couple did all the graves in Perthshire) is online via the AK Bell Library in Perth.

If I can be of any help don't hesitate to ask.

Regards

Lorna
