Cannot Find a Marriage

I cannot find a marriage for Arthur Holden & Agnes Beattie.
I have looked on the S.P site.
Agnes was a daughter of James W Beattie & Sarah Thomson Seaton of Dumfries.
She was born C:-1908
Arthur believe that he was born in Dumfries (dob ????)
What I do know is that after the supposed marriage they moved to Oxford as Arthur worked as a painter at the Morris Car Works at Cowley,they did not have any children.
They lived at Ridgefield Road Oxford.
This is a copy of a letter that I received--the person that sent it is now dead

To my/our knowledge Agnes never returned to Scotland after the death of Arthur

Thank you for the reply.
That could be the answer..One was only assuming the marriage date,as to her age (dob).

It is unfortunate that the person I received the information from is now dead;all other rellies either (a) do not want to help or (b) just plain do not know--then again they are all a lot younger.

I did read somewhere that they (SP) are bring online extra marriages etc for afer 1932--do you know anything about this please.

Hi Baldy,
The Births and Deaths are indexed up to 2006 but no images for them.
SP are bringing the marriages from 1933 - 2006 online but again only the index to these.
