Hi im new to all this i am trying to trace my fathers family and have hit a brick wall can anyone help i am trying to find the death of a william livingstone between 1926 and 1940 i have tryed every place i can think of and still nothing i know he was married to mary docherty on the 19 decemder 1893 his fathers name was also william and his mothers name was elizabeth livingstone nee hodge i also know his wife died in 1926 and he registered her death i know he was dead by 1940 as this is stated on his sons marrige certificate

can anyone please help

On www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk there are 45 William Livingston* deaths between 1926 and 1940. Where do you expect his death to be registered, and do you know what year he was born?

thanks for the reply i dont know where his death would have been going along the lines of kirkconnel as that is where his wife died he was born in 1872 we think i have tried scotlandspeople and cant find a death that matches up with family names my brick wall is getting bigger lol

He is there on ScotlandsPeople. WILLIAM HODGE LIVINGSTONE, 1939, Kirkconnell, aged 71.

Thankyou very much thats him a bit of a shock for my dad he was told he died when his dad was young thanks again for your help
