Please can anyone help me, Again.
I have managed to find the parents of Francis Coutts(b. 1848 in Glenmuick, Aberdeen). They are James Coutts and Margaret Morice (married 4/12/1831 in Glenmuick). Then I have found Margaret Morice birth 1799 in Glenmuick showing Parents James Morice & Barbra Edward(married 18/2/1801).
Could anyone help me find dates of birth and/or parents for James Coutts, James Morice and Barbra Edward as im stuck with about 6 possibilities for each person with no definite ties to any of them.
Thanx in advance
Jamie

Hi again,
From the IGI there are two Margaret Morices born to James Morice and Barbra Edward: an extracted birth on 2 Jun 1799 and a submitted christening 2 Jun 1809. Your Margaret looks to be more the age of the younger one, given her age in the censuses:
1841: 30-34
1851: 39
1861: 49
1871: 60
1881: 69
1891: 80
As you note, the marriage for this couple isn't until 15 Feb 1801... should be a mention in the kirk session records for the birth in 1799!
Do you know Margaret's parents' names from her death certificate? If not, it would be good to check to make sure this is the correct family. If I have found the correct Margaret in the census, she moved from Glenmuick to Crathie and Braemar between 1881 and 1891, so her death may be registered in the latter place.
There is a Margaret Coutts, other surname Morrice, who died in 1898 in Crathie, age 84. This could be her, although the age is a few years off. It would be interesting to see who the informant was.
All the best,
Sarah
