George Hood

Good Evening all

I have hit a brick wall with this one, I am looking for any details on the above George Hood.
He was the father of Andrew Hood who married Christian Halley on the 21st May 1815 in Kircaldy on the OPR it say's he is the son of the above George Hood late smith eyemouth.

You will have a better idea than I do, about the place names than I do.

Sorry it has taken me so long to reply but I have been away for a couple of day's.

I think I shall leave the Hood's for a while I seem to have hit the proverbial brick wall with this one. I know there are a lot of Hood's in this area but I cannot seem to be able to find the one's I am looking for.

Hi Bleckie, Just came upon your post from 2008. I have been looking through HOOD's on the BT's of Northumberland trying to find my HOOD ancestors and came to this:
dated 21 Sep 1806 son George HOOD baptised son of George & Ann Hood of Ancroft Parish, village of Middle Scremerston father George was a native of Eyemouth occupation Miller - Ann nee Curl daughter of James Curl of Fenham - born 26 Aug 1806. My GGG grandfather was a shepherd in Lowick name of Thomas Hood, still trying to piece what i can together, been on and off it for about 20 yrs now. Good luck and hope this helps.
