Lesley
i cant seem to find them after the marriage , thought i might on the 1871 but not ,
they just seem to have gone , unless they have gone abroad , then that rules them out ,

If the bridegroom's address is noted as Ireland on the marriage then it would be reasonably normal for the couple to go and live there afterwards, so there woudn't be any trace of them in 1871 in Scotland.

hi Just Jan,
With no 1871 census for ireland and very few passenger records between UK ports for that time it would be hard to find them unless you can find a birth of another child perhaps after they moved.

phewwwww
well there isnt much chance of that not being the right ones with the childrens names ,
rules , this couple were the only ones that married that might have fitted in with my Grandas name changing from Cameron to Stewarts , too good to be true ,
i just cant get a James Cameron in any census , nor Stewart when i try that , seems i am stuck in between years ,
pulled out 4 cert in SP , and none had an Elizabeth as a Mother ,
its getting to be annoying as seems i have tried it fromeverywhere
thanks for this help , least its another one who isnt lol

The Irish census pre-1901 are all gone so you won't find them in a census before then unless they returned to Scotland or elsewhere. Not sure what secondary records are availlable for that the time your family were in Ireland having children.
Anyone have any ideas where to try next?

i am now thinking the Mother has just placed him in the Poor house ,maybe herself as well, just cant understand why he has parents on his Marriage cert , then his death cert says different ,
its a puzzle , maybe will have to remain so
thanks for all the help
