William Carson born 1883 in Co Tyrone

Post by Ptarmigan » Sun Aug 09, 2009 8:56 pm

I am looking for any information on William Carson born 1883 in Co Tyrone.

He came to Scotland to work in the ironworks at Calderbank, Lanarkshire in the early 1900s.

He subsequently emigrated to Canada with brother Thomas where he married Grace Barbour.

Hi Ptarmigan
...and welcome to Talking Scot :D

Can you fill us in a little on what info you have already and where you have searched? Have you checked him in the census years for example - is he in Scotland by 1901?

Best wishes
Lesley

I could not find him in either the 1901 or 1911 census. I suspect he had either come and gone between the 1901 and 1911 census or alternatively had come and gone between the 1891 and 1901 census (less likely)
