I would very much like to know what happened to Adam and his family. Any help and suggestions would be much appreciated.
Thank you.

There is a death indexed at SP in 1867 of an Adam Colquhoun of the correct age. Have you had a look at that?Proctor wrote:I would like to know if anybody can assist me in finding out what happened to Adam Colquhoun, who last appeared in the 1861 Census in the Parish of Gorbals, Glasgow. He was then 12 years of age and his place of birth is given as England. His father' name was John Colquhoun. an Engine Fitter, from Midlothian and his mother was Catherine Colquhoun, nee Lyle. The parents were from Inveresk, Mussleburgh. We know that Adam had brothers named John, James and George and a sister called Catherine.

Were the names of his parents given at this time?Sadly, he cannot be the Adam I am seeking whom I was led to believe was my ggreatfather, the father of my grandfather, who was born in India in 1878.
