It's me again!!!!!!!!
Have just found a death certificate for Robert Campbell 1875. I also have his birth certificate 1820.
According to his 1875 birth certificate states age as 42??????
Is it possible for these errors to occur?

Parents are my elusive Campbell's Neil Campbell and Catherine Whitelaw.
Thanks KAY

Hi again
I have just checked the IGI on family search and looking at the data submitted has different parent names for Robert Campbell. Also has birth as 1815.
Is it possible that they have made an error as I have the birth certificate for 1820 with correct name of parents?
Thanks for any input.

It depends very much on the source of your information,
I take the birth & death you mention are the original OPR & Sat. records viewed on SP?
If either are from another less reliable source then errors can creep in, like a mistranscription, where someone hasn't read the original correctly .
On a death cert the info is often only as reliable as the person giving it.
On the IGI only extracted records are wholely reliable - as they have come from original records, submitted ones are sometimes based on guess work and need to be treated with caution.
