Here are a few much summarised references to “Campbell, baker”, with a Glasgow connection, from 19C Newspapers up to 1869.

Caledonian Mercury (Edinburgh, Scotland), Saturday, August 12, 1815
Young daughter of Mr Campbell, Baker, King St, Glasgow, dies in flames.

Glasgow Herald (Glasgow, Scotland), Wednesday, August 29, 1855
Watch stolen from John Campbell, Baker, whilst in Jail Sq.

Glasgow Herald (Glasgow, Scotland), Friday, August 29, 1862
John Campbell, Baker, Possil Road, charged with embezzlement.

Wife of William Campbell, Baker, has a daughter

In the Scottish newspapers there are quite a few references to “Craig, baker” but not specifically for a John, and also for “Galloway, baker” but only two specifically for a Thomas and one extra for an Alexander Campbell. There’s nothing for a Blair Campbell, baker.
