Hi
I would like to make contact with possible Watt family members.
I can trace my Watt family back to William Watt and Anna Cordoner (my g x 5 Grandparents). Their oldest son Patrick bn 1761 married Isabella Gordon in 1791. A son, Gordon and Isabella Ellis had a son Peter born 1832. He married Elizabeth Taggart in 1858. One of their sons Peter, married Isabella Mckenzie in 1886. Peter was coachman for Lord Forbes circa 1900, living on the Forbes Estate Keig Aberdeenshire.
My grandfather, Peter Watt was born in Alford on 8 March 1887 and came to Australia with his wife Isabella Kennedy in 1912 settling in Melbourne Australia.
regards
John

I don't know how much you've managed to find out about the area around Keig and the Forbes Estate, but these links might give you some general information, if you've not already tried them.
This is the link to the village of Alford in Aberdeenshire.

And as so often happened in Scotland … a battle !
