Am trying to find out the parents & siblings of William SCOTT born Sanday, Orkney Islands who married Barbara CRAIGIE in Sanday. I now have their children but unfortunately don't have William % Barbara's birth or marriage dates.
Childrens should be of help.

1. Margaret SCOTT born ABT. 1779 & cgr: 09 Jul 1779 in Sanday, Orkney.
2. John SCOTT born Abt. 1782 & chr: 24 Feb 1782 in Sanday, Orkney.
3. Ann SCOTT born Abt. 1791; died 28 Mar 1872 in Dishes Stronsay Orkney, aged 80yrs. Her son Charles registered the death.
4. Catherine SCOTT born Abt. 1794; died 08 Mar 1873 in Milltown, Stronsay, Orkney, aged 78yrs. Her son Robert registered her death.

Thank you very much Frances for looking all the above up for me - I will print it
off & study what you have given me. It appears there may have quite a few
Scotts in Sanday. Hope to go there this Summer so want to find out as much
about their families on Sanday before I go.

There were several other Scotts listed for Sanday, but the ones I listed seemed to fit in with what you had given. It may be worthwhile to go back and have a look at the others to see if there is a family connection there as well.
