Hi Everyone,just discovered the site and would like to post the names I am researching,fairly new to Scottish records,but these are the names I am interested in.

Hello Judith

Unfortunately at this stage I have no idea where she comes from. Her name is Martha Dunlop who married John Barton my ggggrandfather so she is my ggggrandmother

or something like that.
All I know is that she had at least two children James my gggrandfather and a John. James was born in St. -----, Amerca around 1831. John senior was a soldier.

Sorry I cant help much at this stage. I dont even know where or when John and Martha married.

Hi Judith,
Like you, I'm new to TS. My Weir family are John and Eliz. Weir who had Sarah 8 Feb 1792 in Halifax N.S. She married my gr-gr-grandfather, James William Carter in Halifax 27 Aug.1816
I have not yet started my search on John Weir.
