NEW MEMBER.....
I just wanted to say hello I am researching my Fathers family. The names are Gardner, Doig, Mcpherson, Gibson, Chalmers, Milne. Martin and Hill. They were mainly from the Dundee area although I have an idea that my Great Grandfather was from Glasgow. Happy to meet you all.

I have Milnes in my tree, but they're Aberdeenshire, rather than Angus.

Nice to see a real neighbor in this neighborhood. (I'm from Maine). Catriona is very right in that there is an excellenct chance you'll find some good advice from the folk around here. If you ever have any specific questions don't hesitate to ask!! You've got a lot of surnames but nothing that fits my tree

You will see from my post in your Birth Registration topic that according to the 1881 census your g. grandfather was indeed born in Glasgow.
