i was wondering if anyone could help me find my great grandmother

Mother: catherine burns?
Death: January 15th 1901 of cancer in the stomach
Age: 37
Spouse: John Devine
Married: 1881

i have a census in 1891 and it says she lives with her father william and her brother matthew and it looks like it is daislay instead of daisley and it says she was born in Edinburgh but im not sure can someone find her for me. i need help finding her birth and marriage.

So....a different mother and birth year from the lady who was married to John Devine.

she was in hamitlon and yes i have death cert but i cant find anything on her birth or marriage

Hello Gary,

Elizabeth was born at Ireland so you won't find her birth registered at Scotlands People.

John Devine married Lizzie Deaslay at Hamilton in 1882.

If you look at my earlier post showing the Devine family in 1891 you will see Mary was 4 months old.

Could Lizzie's mother's name be Bonar?

If so I think these are her parents at Hamilton in 1881 although the boys ages are a bit out so I'm not too sure -
