scotland- illinois

Post by grantotwo » Sat Mar 19, 2011 11:42 pm

Hi, wonder if anyone can help. I am researching Robert Gray B 1894 and have discovered that he, his wife (Mary Currie) and son William (2) left Scotland via Quebec. Unfortunately, I dont have access yet to files for abroad and wondered if anyone could find out any records for me - would be grateful - Thanks

Hi all,
Do you mean this one?
Vessel: Saturnia
Date of Arrival: 15 Aug 1920
Port of Arrival: Quebec
Port of Departure: Glasgow, Scotland
Gray, Mary, 30, born Scotland, destination Detroit Michigan
Gray, William, 2, born Scotland, destination Detroit, Michigan

Robert doesn't seem to be with them, so he must have come earlier.

All the best,
Sarah

Thanks everyone, had details of deaths etc here but didnt know how long they had been in America. Talking to mother today - seemingly William played some sort of sport and fell ill and had to return here but was too late. Thanks again. :D :D :D
