Mary Hamil Birth

i was wondering if you could help me find the birth of my great great great grandmother Mary Hamil. she married Hugh Gibson in 1895 and in 1951 she died in blantyre, she was also married in blantyre and her parents are robertson hamil and mary, i cant make out what her mothers second name is. on the 1911 census it says she was born in Whifflet. she was married to a man called david mginty in 1891 and he died in 1893, she was married before him too to soem called mclagen or mclellan. could you help me find her please.

Hi Gary,
You don't say about what year she was born, but I assume you know this information from the census. In this case she is easy to find, thanks to her father's uncommon forename. And for free!

Go to the FamilySearch.org site and search for Mary Hamil, father Robertson & mother Mary and you will get the details of her birth. If you want to see the certificate, you'll have to pay for the image at Scotland's People, but at least you now know which is the correct one so you won't waste credits.

wow thanks a bunch guys me and my aunt were just stuck with it hahaha i never though of familysearch beacuse last time i checked for a birth in blantyre in the 180's it wouldnt come up but thats great thank you
