Finding The Blairs

My Grandfather was One of two Andrew Blair Born In 1903. His birthdate was 24 /1/1903 and all information i have is his bible with Grahamston Auchinlack Ayrshire Scotland written on the inside. To trace family in Scotland where do i go from here. Hope this is in the right place for this search.

If you search on ScotlandsPeople (a pay-as-you-go) site which has the official records of Scotland, you will find there are two records for Andrew Blair born in 1903, but when you narrow it down to COUNTY:

Regardless of that, the way that SP works, you first have to view the list page, so it would be best to request a view of the two records for a cost of 1 credit, just to have the additional record in your pocket at no further charge, should the one you choose prove not to be correct.

Once you view the list page with the two names, you will see which was born in Ayr and the name and place of the other, should you need it.

To view Andrew's birth record, you will need to spend 5 more credits.

Andrew BLAIR wasn't born in Auchinleck, but close by in Cumnock, on 24th January 1903.

The Grahamston, Auchinleck reference may relate to his parents, or a previous generation.

As long as the relevant events took place in Scotland you should be able to go back several generations.

I would want to access the data base and i need to know how the payment works for the credits to down load the relivant information.
As both my Grandparents and Parents are deceased it will be interesting to see how far i can get.
