Can anyone help me, ive hit a bit of a brickwall with a family im researching.
Robert Campbell born 16/10/1864 in Old Machar, Aberdeen to Peter Campbell and Angelica Stephen.
I have him on the 1871 Census living in Hadden Street,Aberdeen with a family named Carrick. His mother is in the Aberdeen Lunatic Asylum by then and dies there in 1916. His father however is living further upthe street. The father dies in 1882.
In 1881 i also have him in Hadden Street, Aberdeen aged 16 as a Labourer but he is unemployed.
I think i have a marriage for him in 1893 to a Flora MacDonald in Glasgow , the parents match on the Certificate but mother is said to be dead, most liable didnt want to admit his mum was in an asylum. But he is stated to be a widower?
In 1901 i have him ( according to Ancestry) in Firhill Street in Glasgow, with Flora and a son Robert Campbell Age 4, born Aberdeen.
Now i cant find Robert on the 1891 Census, or his first marriage. Neither can i find the family on the 1911 census or a birth for young robert, also no deaths for any of the 2 Roberts or Flora!!
Can anyone shed some light on this lot!

Re: Robert Campbell
Age is a bit out and I have no way of knowing if this lady's married name is Campbell or MacDonald but................there is a death in 1932 of a Flora Campbell/Macdonald age 58 at Lanarkshire. The 2 names are very common so I know it's a bit of a long shot but might be worth a check.

Annette

Re: Robert Campbell
Hi Eric/Annette
I have checked out the Flora MacDonald/Campbell in Glasgow death, unfortunately its not the wife. She is a Campbell marrying a MacDonald
I haven't had a chance to check the Mary Ann connection but the only marriage i can see on SP is to a Mary Ann Clark in 1881 in St Rollox , Glasgow. So here is hoping!
Thanks
David
