If anyone has access to old Fraserburgh street directories is it possible to find out who was staying at 20 Manse Street Fraserburgh in 1891. I have a birth of William Gibb Robb there but as the names seem to change from Robb to Ogston to Scott I want to check if that is the correct birth
Thank you

Re: street directories
Hello patjohn,
The larger a place is the more it has need of a street directory. I’m not sure how Fraserburgh rated in 1891.
The National Library of Scotland has been putting their old directories online via the Internet Archive. There are 751 so far, and they’re still at it, but I couldn’t find anything for Fraserburgh.
For example here’s Aberdeen, 1892. Maybe something for Fraserburgh will turn up later. http://www.archive.org/stream/postoffic ... 7/mode/2up
All the best,
Alan
