Thanks for the site address it proved very useful especially when I realised that I had actually visited the Church in question about 15 years ago. This was before I knew of Family connection. What a mixed bag we are religion wise-FREE CHURCH,ROMAN CATHOLIC,PRESB.,MUSLIM,LATTER-DAY-SAINTS with the odd Agnostic thrown in for good measure.
This connection explains a lot about a Grandfather I never knew so thanks.

Only a few years ago, the Associated Presbyterian Churches separated from the Free Presbyterian Church in 1989, and in 2000 the Free Church (Continuing) parted company with the Free Church of Scotland.

And then there's the Baptists, Congregationalists and Methodists.

Not to forget Quakers, Brethren, Evangelicals, Pentecostals, Unitarians, United Reformed, Churches of Christ, Church of the Nazarene and the Salvation Army.

And I think there's still 1 or 2 Original Secession congregations, - see http://www.ufcos.org.uk/direct3a.htm to find one, now in the United Free Church of Scotland.
