i'm trying to find out about edward o'donnell born [after 1911] glasgow his parents are hugh o'donnell and mary[kidd] o'donnell. he married my aunt hellen kelly [after 1936]. dont know when hellen and edward died.

Are you sure they have died? Those dates are late enough that they may well still be living (so I edited the dates out as is our policy).

yes they have both died, my old aunt told me they have both died but she could'nt remember exactly when. sadly my old aunt died 2 weeks ago , so no one left in the family to ask.

The deaths are easy to find on scotlandspeople.gov.uk
You will have to order the extracts, rather than being able to download them, since they are too recent. So it will cost you a bit more, but they are there!

I played about with the search options on SP and there was only 1 hit for a death
Helen Odonnell other surname Kelly


I then looked for an Edward odon*e* with a mothers name of kidd
again only 1 result


I don't have any other details as I was only looking at the search page.
As they seemed to be after the cut off date you won't be able to view the results on line,
but perhaps you could find a newspaper announcement of their deaths?
