Jessie McCreadie MURRAY was born AND died 9th March 1897 at Schoolwell Street, Stevenston. She lived for only three-quarters of an hour, cause of death "Debility from birth".
Her parents were John MURRAY [b. 1869] (Joiner Journeyman) and Janet McCREADIE [b. 22 Mar 1872, Kilfillan, daughter of Robert and Janet (Jessie) Kie (McFADZEAN) McCREADIE]. John and Janet MURRAY were married on 23 Mar 1894 at Stevenston, Ayrshire and celebrated their Golden Wedding anniversary in 1944 while resident in USA. Janet died in late-Nov 1948 in Michigan, USA
Would be extremely interested to hear from any descendants of either family.

Re: MURRAY, Jessie McCreadie - Stevenston, 1897
Hello Jim,
John and Janet appear to have had only one child who survived: Jeanie, born about 1895.
1901
Alexandra Pl, Stevenston, Ayrshire
John Murray, 29, Head, born Dreghorn, Ayrshire, Electrical Joiner
Janet Murray, 29, Wife, born Glenluce, Wigtonshire
Jeanie Murray, 6, Daur, born Stevenston, Ayrshire
They came to the U.S. in 1917 and settled in Midland, Michigan:
1920
Murray, John, Head, 47, Scotland Scotland Scotland, Electrician, Chemical works
--- Janet, Wife, 47, Scotland Scotland Scotland
--- Jeanie, Daughter, 24, Scotland Scotland Scotland
If you want to connect with descendants, they would need to be Jeanie's. There is an online tree at Ancestry.com that seems to indicate Jeanie married William Borthwick, also from Scotland. As far as I can tell from the 1930 and 1940 censuses, they had two children, both of whom may well be still alive, so I will send you a pm with their information, rather than posting it here.
All the best,
Sarah
