could someone help in finding the death of jessie jack , she married walter scott 31.12.1859 in jedburgh. walter died 11oct 1895 due to suicide in glasgow, they lived in glasgow. hope someone can help me as i would love to know when her death was and who was the informer on her certificate. many thanks cathie.

her age/ year of birth would help us narrow down the search [what age did she give in 1859?]

Have you found them in any census records? where in Glasgow were they living at Walter's death?

I wonder was Jessie her 'real' name or was that a pet name - I've a notion that Jessie may be a Janet/Jane variation
unless she really was a Jess/Jessica.

hi wilma, jessie jack was born 1836 in jedburgh she would have been 22yrs in 1858 she lived at 116 high craighall rd glasgow,this is all the inf i can find for her. her daughter helen scott [my gt gran] was born 1872 same address,116 high craighall rd. thanks

Putting Jessie Jack other surname Scott born 1836 in the search at Scotland's People brings up a match in 1908 in Glasgow.

put in:
surname; SCOTT
forename; JESSIE
other surname; JACK
birth year; 1836

will only bring up the one result
I narrowed it down by playing around with the search facilities, I don't have credits to view the result.
