My direct line (Herd surname) is from Kincardineshire Inverbervbie and St Cyrus. I also have via my paternal Grandfathers mother Glasgow ancestors, surnames are Mckay and Watson but have very little info on them. My Great X 3 Herd Grandmother is a Patterson from Arbuthnot and my Great X 4 Herd Grandmother is a Kerr/Carr.
