my 3x great grandmother applied for poor relief in 1856 when her husband died, on the poor relief document she states her daughter
is in Australia, her daughter was Sarah Casey, born abt 1828, Co Monaghan, Ireland, i believe Sarah married then went away,
iv'e found a marriage that took place in 1853, but no father's name on document to tell me if i have the Correct Sarah Casey,
here are the details:
Sarah Casey married William Canley. St John's Glasgow 1853.
Its just possible that William Canley is in fact William Connolly.
1851 the Casey's lived at 8 Old Vennell.
1851 a family called Connolly lived at 105 New Vennell, in that family a 17 year old
William Connolly, a boot & shoemaker.
Perhaps some one has a family connection and may be able to help { [-o< }
If i can get Sarah's married name i can make a search for her in Australia.
All the best
Derek
