Hello All.
I'm stuck or is it pulling hair out time. I have been doing this for over 30 years and things still get me stumped. I should know by now. I have been searching for birth details for a James McPherson b1846 in Strathaven. His family stayed around the Avondale area. I've looked everywhere to no avail. If anyone can help me that would be great. His parents are John McPherson & Isabella McIntyre or Christina McIntyre (sisters). He married Christina Adams in Fenwick, Ayrshire 1865. His first name is from Census, MC & DC.

Sorry not a lot to add except I notice his brother Duncan(b Avondale) and sister Elizabeth(b Loudon) are both indexed with a mother's name of Annabella McIntyre which is also the name given to John and Christina's first child. Brother Allan's birthplace is also given as Strathaven but nothing indexed so it looks as though those records may not have survived.Senior-IM wrote:Hello All.
