I don't know about their descendants, but I can tell you that the birth and baptism of Duncan McGregor can be found with his mother's name misindexed on both ScotlandsPeople and the IGI, so you do get exact dates for these events in 1848 in Stirling from that document.

It is there showing the parents as Joseph McGregor and Agnes Gillespie. When you look at the original document on ScotlandsPeople, you see this quite hard to read entry on the page. Agnes's surname Reid is on the next line, and has not been put in the index. Her middle name Gillespie has been taken as her maiden surname on the index.

Possible family 1851 - but Joseph listed as born Glasgow - Is there proof he was born in Stirling?

1861 finds Duncan Jnr aged 13 living with Reid family - probably mother's brother. Cannot find Joseph.
