Owen Ryan & Mary McFarlane - Cant Find Children's Births

Hi,

I'm having trouble finding some births for the children of Owen Ryan (b.c.1836-9) in Ireland d.9 Jan 1900 in Govan, and Mary/Margaret McFarlane (b.c.1836-9) also in Ireland.
They appear in the 1861 census at 3 United house, Paisley Rd, Govan, with a son named Patrick b.c. 1858-9 Paisley/Lanarkshire d.12 Dec 1924 in Govan, but I can't find the other siblings (or I think it's them).

The children are;

Michael Ryan b.c.1865 Halfway House Paisley/Lanarkshire
Mary Ryan b. 1872 in Ireland
John Ryan b. 10 Aug 1874 Abbey, Paisley
Catherine b.c. 1879 Paisley

I've searched SP for them without much luck, so can't confirm the parents marriage details which was probably somewhere in Ireland.
I'm trying to find where they came from in Ireland, as a friend wishes to know where his ancestors were born.

Can anyone help ?

Not sure if this will help but Ancestry has them on the 1881 and 1891 census under the name of Rynn. In 1881, they are living at 26 Logie Street, Govan and there is a Catherine McFarlane age 22 living with them. John age 6 and Catherine age 2 are shown as born in E. Henderson, Renfrewshire. In 1891, they are living in Paisley Abbey, Renfrewshire. John 16 and Catherine 11 are the only two children at home.

I saw that too Carol and Mary is registered as Rynn/McFarlane by Owen when she dies in 1897.

Still doesn't help with the children so far!

One additional note: Patrick marries Celeana Fitzsimmons February 25, 1879 in Govan in the Catholic Chapel. One of her witnesses, F. Carlton, gives an occupation as Match Maker. Never heard that one before! Ancestry has Celeana transcribed as Selina on the following census records. Ancestry also has the last name spelled Rayne on the 1861 census. No wonder Daryl is having trouble finding records!

Yes, I checked Ancestry for the family and found them in 1881 & 1891, but I couldn't find any births for any of the children.
I tried to find Mary's death too but didn't find it I only knew she must have died between 1891 and 1900 when Owen died. Can you tell
me where Mary died, and her parents names ?

Nice one Trish - I thought I had tried all the children with the surname McFarlane but obviously not.

There are only 4 Patrick's born in Govan between 1858 and 1859. One of them is indexed as Wynne.
A look at the IGI gives this -

The mother's maiden name here is just too coincidental not to have a look.

Mary Rynn died Nov. 24, 1896 in Paisley. She was 58. Her parents were Patrick McFarlane and Catherine Smith. I found her by entering 1896 to 1898 and the last name Rynn only.
