My late brother in law did most of his family tree and I have taken up the task of filling in the gaps. One thing he was never able to do is find out whether Archibald Walker was definitely a Chartist or not. Family folklore also had it that he had been shipped off the Australia for a time. He lived at the right time: born 1810, married 1830, children born [only some dates actual] 1831,1835,1837,1841,1843,1846 and 1849. He was in the census returns of 1841 and 1851. First wife died 1871, remarried 1872 then he died 1897.Does anyone know of any records of Chartist members or details of any members who were sent to Australia?
