McMenemy, William death certificate.....

Post by delmarco » Thu Dec 01, 2005 3:48 pm

Ok, Im throwing this one out there, I found a potential match for my William McMenemy, he is listed on a UK mining site as being killed 6 Jan 1877, however, I cannot find a death certificate, nor a birthdate to see if he really belongs to me, he was 65 in 1877, the dates would fit in my tree just right too, Hope you can help!!
Make it a great day!

Hi Delmarco
There is a death on the Scotlands People web site for a William McMenemy in 1877 in the Stirling area - he appears to be aged 67. I only searched (and did a bit of massaging of the options!!) - not enough credits to look at the result & the download, so I don't know if this is the one you are looking for.

Best wishes
Lesley

By the way, I noticed you had Mitchell's in your signature line, are they all from Ayshire?

Hi Karen
My Mitchells were all originally form Ayrshire, but most of them ended up in Lanarkshire, moving in that direction from about the 1850s. Parishes they were living in include Tradeston, Barony, St Rollox & Cathcart.

Common male names in the line include Allan, William, James, Alexander & Robert.
I did see one of your posts regarding Mitchells and a wife called Rose Ann I think. Nothing rang any bells at that stage, but then I don't know waht happened to some of my Mitchells so anything is possible!

Best wishes
Lesley
