Rewcastle
Elizabeth Rewcastle was born in England about 1780. She married James Johnston 3 Jan 1801 at Old Monkland, Lanark, Scotland and had nine children. Her youngest child Marrion Johnston was born 28 Jun 1822 at Old Monkland. I would like to know how to find out where Elizabeth was born and who her parents were. Thanks, Alice

Elizabeth Rewcastle is my 3 x Great Grandmother and on her daughters death cert her name is recorded as Bethia Ruicastle. The IGI has recorded as being born in England and Old MOnkland Lanark. You know the same as me and I am searching for her parents too. Are you related to Elizabeth too I would be inrerested to know.

George Johnston
Heather, I have quite a bit of information on George Johnston since he immigrated to Utah and then went on to California. I have the names of his 3 wives and children. I do not have a Fanny Johnston as a daughter of Elizabeth and James. I got my information from Scottish Church Records. I'd appreciate it if you could let me know what you have. I have #1 Ann, 2. James, 3. Elizabeth, 4 Thomas, 5 Thomas 6 Euphemia, 7 George, 8 John, 9 Marrion. Thanks, Alice
