I wonder if some one could help me with a couple of marriages please
Robert Douglas to Mary Scott she was born Ewes 1801
all there children were born Ewes the first William Douglas in 1827
William Douglas to Margaret Pott this is the parents of the above Robert he was born abt 1797 the census says Hawick but his death cert says Cavers I have tried looking for both of these had no luck I have found quite a lot about Mary Scott but the Douglas name has me totaly stuck

It may also be worth trying Teviothead as it was made from parts of Hawick and Cavers in 1850. See the article below.
