Once a Genealogist, always a genealogist.....

Post by CatrionaL » Wed Mar 15, 2006 7:30 pm

I just received a note from one of my "cousins", someone
who has encouraged and helped me so much in my research for one branch of the family. Her husband is my 3rd cousin once removed!

She says:

"I've been having a wonderful time here in ---- spending oodles of time
at genealogy. I just attended a two-day Computer Genealogy
Conference and it was excellent. There were about 40 classes to choose from, and it was difficult to make choices, as I could get only about 14 in during the two days. There is so much available on the Internet, I'm glad that I am finally learning how to use it."

This dear friend, now mobile again after a serious operation is 88
years old!

I like to think that if and when I reach her age, I'll still be as eager to learn new things as she is.

Your 'cousin' sounds very lively and obviously having a new lease of life since her op. Good health to her.
Thanks, too, for correcting the web address for the Canadian connection - I'd obviously been browsing too long!
