having a hard time finding these couples, guess they could have originated in Ireland, thought I'd throw this out to the group and see if you have any connections, or ideas where to turn, did not have much luck on SP.

Patrick McCallum, married to Ann McCulloch, he died in 1868,
did find him on SP!!!) I believe she was in Carluke in 1880 per some poorhouse records for her daughter Bridget, Ann died in 1897.

John or Thomas McDonald married to Janet or Margaret Fizpatrick, both alive in 1857, on daughter Roseann's marriage cert, but both dead by 1888 on her death cert (also found these on SP)

PAtrick McCulloch, married to Mary Ann Deary, both deceased by 1897,

bridget mitchell, MS Rooney, alive in 1857, died before 1875.

Elizabeth "Biddy" Feeney MS Martin, married to Bernard Feeney

I may be stating the obvious here

but have you looked for them on the various census returns around the times in question ? they should give you the place of birth.

Children's Scottish birth records [after 1855] quite often gave the date and place of parent's marriage. If Ireland that's sometimes more specific than just the "Ireland" found on a census return!

John or Thomas McDonald if not on the census - have you daughter Roseann on any?

The names do have an Irish ring to them, so they may well have returned home, if the parents ever did make it over in the first place.
They do like to make things difficult don't they ?
